Fantastic spot directly at the water. Personnel was very friendly and food was great. Berliner dishes looking great and tasting even better. Highly reccomended. Large and clean toilets are a plus.

An easy-going and relaxed gatropub with good German flavors in its food. Nice and friendly service, both inside and outside. Inside, an interesting collection of old tin signs. Plenty of terrace places along the canal. The best of Nikolaiviertel.

Nice location, next to the river which can be seen by one part of the restaurant. The place is bigger than it initially seems when entering but every room has a different decor, talking away from a unique identity. You go from traditional to regular to end of 19th century styles. The service was quite fast and courteous and the personnel speaks English. Food-wise it's ok if you want to try traditional German food , like the curry wurst. The accompanying fries were a bit on the soggy side (I also believe they were frozen). The pork shackle was nicely cooked but completely under-seasoned.

everyone was super friendly and very patient with us useless English tourists… very busy but service was good and food was great! I loved the atmosphere of the place - great decor. thank you so much!

The restaurant is well-situated and the drinks are great although that’s about the extent of the positives here. I asked if the Rinderoulade contained certain ingredients and found out as I was eating the meal that it did despite our waitress insisting it didn’t, which more than anything is a major allergy risk. It then took us almost 20 mins to get the bill despite most tables around us being empty. Overall this isn’t a terrible place but for €22 each, you’d expect much better food and service.

Very nice local German food. I had a smaller dish, omelette which doesn’t look so small :D and followed with apple strudel served with vanilla sauce, ice cream and cream. Really nice meal, good location next to Spree river.

Very nice and delicious local German food. Good location: next to the water and almost in the middle of the city center. Service heavily depends on the person who serves your table.

It is definitely not worth take a seat at this restaurant. The only positive note was the opportunity to dine overlooking the river. The waiter outside was always unfriendly and almost rude. He almost seemed to be giving us a treat in doing his job. We had to remind him several times to be heard and I waited a full 58 minutes to be served. The meat was clearly thawed and tasteless, even the butter on the side was still frozen and very hard. The only thing that was saved were the potatoes. You can find much better in the area.
